How You Can Start Betting On The NFL Season Today

How You Can Start Betting On The NFL Season TodayWith just under 90 days until the NFL season officially kicks off on Thursday, September 7th (yes, we checked. There’s actually a countdown online, at days.to), fans, and more importantly bettors, are getting antsy. Which is why certain legal sports betting sites have started putting up NFL futures.

For those of you with limited betting knowledge, futures are technically proposition bets. But because they’re made so far in advance, they’re called futures. Get it? Well, these futures let you bet on what you think will happen throughout the 2017-2018 football season.

Anyways, right now, you can bet on Division winners, Conference winners, Which Division will win the Conference, Season futures, player matchups, and of course the biggest future bet of them all – who will win the 2017 Super Bowl? Super Bowl LII takes place on February 4th, 2018, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The newly created U.S. Bank Stadium is the new home of the Minnesota Vikings and was created for the sole purpose of being able to host a Super Bowl (and to finally put a dome over a field that sees more snow than the North Pole).

As you can imagine, the team with the shortest Super Bowl odds are the New England Patriots. Led by the GOAT, Tom Brady, this team seems to get more stacked with each season. The team with the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl is the Dallas Cowboys, at +900. It should come as no surprise, but the team with the longest SB LII betting odds is the Cleveland Browns, although their odds are tied with the San Francisco 49ers at +25000.

If you’re more interested in Season props, then you’re in luck. There are a number of interesting propositions that have been laid out at legal betting sites like BetOnline and SportsBetting. You can bet on whether or not there will be a perfect regular season (16-0) or whether there will be a true perfect season (19-0). Fortunately for my fellow Dolfans, “no” is the overwhelming favorite on those lines at -1500 and -2000, respectively.

You can also bet on what the highest loss total will be on the season. That line is set at 13 ½, but the over is favored at -185 odds. While bettors might think that someone will lose at least 14 games, they don’t think there will be a perfectly bad season (0-16), as “no” is favored in that situation at -2500 odds. I guess that’s good news for the Browns?

Player vs player futures aren’t exactly common, but with Beast Mode coming out of retirement to play for his hometown team the Oakland Raiders, oddsmakers are indulging fans by matching him up against AP. Their props cover a whole range of outcomes, from Both RBs leading the team in rushing touchdowns to either RB being traded during the season. You can bet on who will score the first touchdown in 2017 or on who will have the first 20-yard rush in 2017. Marshawn Lynch is favored to score first with -140 betting odds, while AP is expected to have the first 20 yards, at -125 odds.

No matter how you choose to bet on the NFL, either now or when the season is actually upon us, BestUSASportsbooks.com knows there’s no denying the excitement building in the air. Be sure to always use certified, legal betting sites, to ensure that your wagers are in trusted hands. Other than that, start warming up your smack talk and be prepared to put that money where your mouth is, because there are less than 100 days until our favorite gridiron battles are back, and not even the oddsmakers can contain themselves anymore.
